I looked up and saw these black smudges all over the roof. First I thought it was mud or leaves or both, but then I noticed the feathers.
Szilvia Mohai was born in 1983 in Budapest, Hungary. She graduated from Eötvös Loránd University with a degree in Hungarian language and literature in 2007 and in English translation in 2015. Since then, she has been working as a journalist, copywriter and translator at newspapers, marketing agencies and as a freelancer. She’s had her work published in literary journals, including short stories, poems, and translations of short stories by writers such as Brian Evenson, Jonathan Wilson, Giano Cromley and Tree Riesener, and has also translated several books from English into Hungarian.
