Submission Guidelines for Identity Theory Visuals
Section
Posted: November 1, 2006
Identity Theory’s Visuals Section is committed to publishing
artwork by new and established talent in the mediums of painting,
photography, digital art, drawing/illustration and mixed media.
In addition to technical considerations, we are also looking for
work that conveys a distinct point of view, an alternate way of
seeing the world or a clear message of personal resonance to the
artist.
Please note that we cannot offer monetary compensation for accepted
work. Please also note that all rights to accepted work remain with
the artist upon publication.
We will consider all submissions according to the following guidelines...
1. Write “Submission” and the medium of your work
in the subject line of your email (i.e., “Submission: Photography”);
2. If the work has been previously published, please include the
place of publication as well as date of publication in the text
of your email;
3. Include five to ten thumbnail slides of the work you would like
considered for publication. Please note that these are the only
slides that will be considered for publication;*
4. Include a brief artist’s statement in the text of your
email; and
5. Please include relevant contact information. If not included
we will respond to the email address provided. If this is not the
best way to reach you, please explain that in the text of your email.
All submissions are to be sent to Alexandra Tursi at tursita@identitytheory.com.
Thank you for sending your artwork to Identity Theory! We appreciate
your visit to the site as well as the opportunity to review your
artwork.
* You may send as many submissions as you want to us. We understand
that you may work in multiple media or would like more than one
series of your work considered.
