Active Learning

A Poem by Fred Jacobs

Sit quietly everyone
     settle down. Now then
who what somebody when
     how anybody where why
if not why not louder
     please they can’t hear
you in the back. I can’t hear you
up here either say again if
you don’t mind you settle
     settle down now please.
Everyone sit quietly.

Order first or nothing
     follows. That’s what rules
are there for therefore
     follow o! and don’t forget
to break the rules when
     necessary. What they’re
there for only when whatever
     you do always listen to
everything I say and you’ll
     never go far wrong.
