Bipartisan Concern About McPalin's Hate-Mongering

"John McCain: If your campaign does not stop equating Sen. Barack Obama with terrorism, questioning his patriotism and portraying Mr. Obama as 'not one of us,' I accuse you of deliberately feeding the most unhinged elements of our society the red meat of hate, and therefore of potentially instigating violence."

Nobel Peace Prize Goes to Former Finnish Prez

The prize goes to Martti Ahtisaari.

"Through his untiring efforts and good results, he has shown what role mediation of various kinds can play in the resolution of international conflicts. The committee cited Ahtisaari's 'significant' part in establishing Namibia's independence and his 'central' role in solving the question of the Indonesian province of Aceh in 2005."

Illegal Voter Roll Purges in Six Swing States

The New York Times is reporting that tens of thousands of voters have been removed from registration talleys in Colorado, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, Nevada and North Carolina.

In an effort to comply with the Help America Vote Act of 2002 (to remove the names of voters who should no longer be listed) it appears as though officials in the afore-mentioned states have, for every voter added to the rolls in the past two months, removed two.

To add to the air of fraud, Alabama, Georgia and Louisiana appear to be improperly using Social Security information to screen registration applications from new voters, or have removed thousands of voters after the federal deadline for taking such action.

"'Just as voting machines were the major issue that came out of the 2000 presidential election and provisional ballots were the big issue from 2004, voter registration and these statewide lists will be the top concern this year,' said Daniel P. Tokaji, a law professor at Ohio State University."
