Poetry Submissions

Guidelines for submitting poetry to our online journal

Identity Theory is an online magazine that has published poetry from up-and-coming and established writers since the year 2000.

While our general submissions are closed right now, we are currently accepting accepting poems about money--issues it creates, interpretations of its meaning, etc.

We will accept your original poems about money through the end of September and publish the best of them online in a special issue in October.

The "best" poet will receive an autographed copy of The Heaven-Sent Leaf, a book of poems about money by Katy Lederer.

Other poets will not receive compensation (outside of the pride of being published).

Please send your poems to Identity Theory editor Matt Borondy at editor@identitytheory.com with the words "Poetry Submission" in the header. You may also include a short bio with your work.

We will notify poets of their acceptance in early October.

For more info, read our blog post on the subject.

Oh, and one more thing: we are also currently looking for a volunteer poetry editor.
