Blood Donation at Sunnyside

“Are you allergic to pain?” the nurse asked.

“Only to pleasure,” he replied, laughing as the needle slid into a vein drawing A Negative.

He squeezed the plastic hand grip pressure pump and bantered with a mother of 5 as their blood flowed out of their bodies through arms into plastic tubes down - out of their sight into clear plastic liter bags with an identification #.

Hugs from a thank-you clown.
