As share-holder in the Great Hegemon of the West, I've felt particularly venemous over the last 36 hours.

Today, some savory bits of intolerance, but remember, "when you match wits with Allah, you must come strong or don't come at all."

... Allah suspects that one of the shahids has been hanging around Christian gift shops, for this same shahid came to Allah today and said the following. "Allah, last night I had a dream. I dreamed I was walking along the beach with you. Across the sky flashed scenes from my life. During each scene I saw two sets of footprints in the sand: One belonging to me, the other to you. But I saw that during the last, most desperate scene of my life, there was only one set of footprints. Allah! You swore that once I decided to follow you, you would never leave me. Why then, during this most troubling time, was there only one set of footprints?" Allah looked at him and smiled. "O glorious mujahid, I love you and would never leave you. During your time of trial and suffering, when you saw only one set of footprints, it was because the bomb you detonated on that bus blew your fucking feet off. Those footprints you saw were Allah's as he walked around the beach scooping pieces of you into Glad bags."

Let them eat... bugs?In case you missed it last October, Zambia banned genetically modified food aid:

The delegation is now reported to have concluded that GM food poses too great a risk to be accepted. Zambia's agriculture minister Mundia Sikatana said on Tuesday: "In the face of scientific uncertainty the country should thus refrain from action that might adversely affect human and animal heath, as well as harm the environment."

GM aid has been offered to Zambia by the US Agency for International Development, via the World Food Program (WFP). The WFP says it will be hard to find enough non-GM food to feed all of Zambia's hungry people in the next few months.
