Speaking of He-Man, I am reminded how as a child, I started to run like He-Man. I did this, of coarse, so that I could be as cool as the most powerful man in the universe. As you might guess, as soon as my new running form was seen by other human beings, I was mocked and ridiculed to the degree that I learned one of nature's cruelest realities: Sprinting like a gimp will only earn the respect of the deaf, dumb, and steroid abusers sporting underwear made from hay. Some men live their entire lives and never learn this lesson.

For those of you who have difficulty seperating technical programming terms from great mythic warriors of the eighties, let me assist you:

Found in logic programming, a functor is a non-numeric constant that is written as if it was a function. It is called a functor because it is just a formula and may never be evaluated - it is just a way to label the kind of structure involved. In otherwords, it is totally boring and will never know true love.

Found in the forrests of Eternia, a Skunkor is an evil beast often found beating He-Man down with potent odors. He is called Skunkor because he looks like a skunk and is a third cousin of the Skeletor clan. He is totally ninja sweet and thats the best kind of sweet there is. He sometimes travels under the clever pseudonym of Stinkor which is also a pretty sweet name.

Transcript From University of Miami Press Conference:

"We have nothing but the highest respect for the great universities of the Big East and their leaders. I, particularly, want to thank Chancellor Shaw and Father Leahy each of whom have shown leadership, patience, and understanding. They are two of the most outstanding leaders in higher education. We are reluctantly accepting the ACC invitation without them.
We accept the invitation from the ACC with enthusiasm."

Someone needs to hire a new speechwriter...

Self-indulgent graduate school section:

The Lord of the Rings: an allegory of the PhD?
The venerable Grad-Student Emotion Checklist
The infamous Piled Higher and Deeper
