This may not have any serious social, cultural or political ramifications, but I thought it was sadistically funny, so here goes - I've applied to
UF Law School, right? And other people have gotten yes letters and no letters, while I have recieved nil from them. So the letter came today. It's thin. So I'm like, "Aw hell, I didn't get in." I open the letter:
Dear Mr. Hannaway:
Thank you for your applying for admission to the University of Florida Levin College of Law. Our faculty Admissions Committee is now reviewing your application for admission to the Fall 2003 class. The Admissions Committee will take final action on your application between now and early April to Mid April.
It's a maybe. A MAYBE.
So I sit and squirm. Like the larva class I am on the grand scale of lawyer scum.

Their music is awful whether you like hip-hop or not, but their style has a chic nerdiness to it.

GI Joe Killaz gonna make you know our name, give you something fresh to listen to for a change!”
This is indeed a hip-hop or rather a tech-hop release from the G.I. Joe Killaz, fronted by Destro, the Baroness and Tomas Jirku as the Cobra commander behind the beats. The results are fantastic, a fresh take on hip-hop.
Listen and decide for yourself. The GI Joe Killaz homepage explains in ninja speak how endagered mutant eels, Batman, and Northern Karakoram all played a part of you not being able to find a copy of their first album. Not to fear, though, they have a Christmas album with Cobra Claus that will make everything better.
...and just because you asked, an interview with the group.
Stylus: If you could fight any philosopher who would you fight?
B: Rene Descartes, obviously… that mofo can stick his Special Causal Principle up his frog ass. I think, therefore I hate him.
