Colorado native, Vietnam Veteran 1969. Attended University of Northern Colorado and graduated from University of Oregon. Expanded travel and road adventures from states to European zones, specifically Ireland working as nude model in Dublin, freelance writer, au pair and youth hostel warden in remote peat burning wild places absorbing spirit of Yeats, Joyce and Heaney before economic tigers.

Middle East hotel management work and forays into Himalayan regions. Lived in northern Bali jungles for one year exploring language, weaving and music. Moved to China exploring Tarim Basin (as an actor in a Chinese film no less) northern Yunnan and Tibet. Member of International Campaign for Tibet (ITC). Recently lived in New Mexico conducting research into Native American anthropology; Anazasi, Zuni, Pueblo traditions for creative projects.
