Jalina Mhyana

Jalina Mhyana’s second poetry collection The Wishing Bones was awarded publication by Pudding House Collections. She served as Editor of the online literary journal Rock Salt Plum Review for five years and worked as a freelance journalist for the Herald Union in Germany. A graduate of Bennington College’s MFA in Creative Writing program and a multiple Pushcart nominee, Mhyana currently studies Art History at Oxford University. Jalina currently lives in England. My thought is a mandala, a mantra. A round thing turning over and over in my mind. A focus for my eyes and my breath. It’s as close as I come to prayer.
